Something needs to change. But what? what needs to change about the Hip Hop scene in Austin. Maybe it needs to die and rebuild. Does Austin have a need, a want for a legit Hip Hop scene because news to everyone; THERE ISNT ONE. It does not exist. What I do know is that someone needs to take it to the next level. There is not that one artist in Austin that everyone looks to for some good music. That needs to happen some day. So. here is the question. Who is it? Who is the best that Austin has to offer? Who has the most potential to take it to a national platform? Who has the most talent? Who is going to bring that next trend? That next style up to the plate…… the answer is “The so Called KINGS”. Mixed with a sense of humor and darkness “The so Called KINGS” bring a new dynamic to the Austin HIp Hop scene. Being that the group is originally from PA; the music is a mix of NY style lyrics and laid southern swagger.

What Austin needs is a central place that hosts top R&B, Jazz, and Hip Hop talent and is classy enough to have the ability to stay away from $3 Yager bombs that caters to grown and young folk alike. Austin NEEDS it. I need it.
There is a market for a R&B, Jazz, and Hip hop club that is the Antone’s or Emo’s equivalent for R&B, Jazz, and Hip-Hop.
I got a business to run so I don’t have the time to do it, but I hope there is someone in Austin that will eventually step up and just do it.
